Step 1

Can this server run it?

Checked just now on PHP 8.3.33. Anything in red has to be fixed first.

Step 2

Where should the data live?

Create the database in cPanel first, then add your user to it with all privileges.

Database type SQLite needs nothing set up, but only suits a handful of people at once. Choose MySQL for a real branch network.

Host Almost always localhost. Port 3306 unless your host says otherwise.

Database name cPanel puts your account name in front — copy it exactly.

Database username Database password

These tables are mine to reuse Only tick this if the database already has Bateel data in it and you are reinstalling. Nothing is deleted either way — missing tables are added and existing rows are left alone.

Step 3

Your administrator account

The first account. It can see everything and create everybody else.

Site name Timezone Every deadline is counted in this.

Your name Your email

Password At least 8 characters. Password again

Fill it with sample data first Six branches, twelve staff and sixteen tickets, so you can walk somebody through it. Every demo account shares the password bateel123 — fine for a private trial, never for a live site. Leave it unticked and you get the branches and problem types only.
